Gas Transportation and Processing

The Catalyst Energy Irishtown processing facility is located in Lafayette Township, McKean County, Pennsylvania and has a current compression capacity of 7 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and a processing capacity of 10 million cubic feet per day.

Our other facilities are located near Kane, north of Marienville, north of Tionesta, and near Youngsville, Pennsylvania (see Interactive Gas Processing Pipeline Map).  These facilities combine to give Catalyst Energy additional compression capacity of nearly 2.5 million cubic feet of gas per day with processing capacity of 5 million cubic feet per day.

These facilities currently recover nearly 20,000 gallons per day of natural gas liquids with the capacity to recover in excess of 30,000 gallons per day.

The configuration of the transmission system is depicted to the right.

Utilizing Our Facilities

If you have questions about the availability of capacity for processing your produced natural gas, or any questions about the proximity and availability of tap-ins, please contact us.

The use of our transmission and processing facilities is subject to the acceptance and execution of a written transmission and processing contract with Catalyst Energy. In general, we require producers using our pipeline and facility to pay a fee based upon the inlet measurement of gas (Mcf, or 1,000 cubic feet). Following the standards required for delivery into a third-party interstate gas system, we credit each producer’s account for proceeds derived from the sale of that producer’s liquid hydrocarbons.

Catalyst Energy permits each producer to market the gas sent to our facilities for processing, and we also provide market payment mechanisms for excess production of gas by producers.
