About Us

Catalyst Energy, Inc. (Catalyst), headquartered near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is engaged in oil and natural gas development in the Appalachian region of the United States. The activities of Catalyst encompass the exploration, development, production, transmission and processing of oil, natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons.

Catalyst was incorporated in 1992 as a Delaware Corporation and commenced activites with small drilling programs covering four to six wells. Since its founding, Catalyst has evolved from limited annual programs for the drilling and completion of wells to integrated oil and gas operations covering the stages from mineral rights property acquisition through the production, ultimate sale and delivery of oil, natural gas and liquids produced from wells in the northeast portion of the Appalachian basin.

To date, Catalyst Energy has developed and operates over four hundred (400) oil and gas wells. Catalyst Energy currently drills and brings into production approximately fifty (50) to seventy (70) wells per year. Ancillary to it’s drilling and production programs, Catalyst operates a state-of-the-art gas transmission and refining facilities for the processing of up to seven (7) million cubic feet (MMscfd) of natural gas, producing over 4,000 gallons per day of propane, butane and other liquid hydrocarbons.
